Move Diddy get out the way!
JAY-Z has topped Diddy as Hip Hop’s richest rapper, according to Forbes’ 2018 List Of Hip Hop’s Wealthiest Artists. Every year since the list first started in 2011, Puff Daddy ranked first, but this year Hov takes the lead with a $900 million fortune.
According to Forbes, JAY-Z, who elevated from $810 million in 2017 to $900 million, reaching nearly a billion mainly due to his investments in TIDAL, Armand de Brignac champagne and D’Usse cognac.
Diddy follows right behind with $825 million, Diddy gained his near billionaire status from his multiple business investments including his Ciroc Vodka deal, Revolt TV, and the expansion of his DeLeon Tequila brand.
Dr. Dre, Drake, and Eminem follow behind these two music moguls on the Forbes Five: Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists 2018 list. Dr. Dre lands as number three with $770 Million, and Drake and Eminem tie at $100 million.
Forbes calculates the rankings based on an analysis of candidates’ major assets, and enlists analysts, attorneys, managers and other key team members to gather the information.
